A bit of sauciness, a whole lot of talent and some tongue twisting fun

  1. This reminds me actually of the famous incident (which may or may not have ever happened) when Raquel Welch walked sat down with Johnny on the Tonight Show with a cat in her lap and proceeded to say "would you like to pet my pussy?" to which Johnny responded "I'd love to, if you'd just get rid of the damn cat." This story (but no film) has been in circulation for years, and, some time before Johnny retired, Jane Fonda was on the show and asked him if it really happened. He said no, but the way he pretended never to have heard the story before made me suspicious, since it was so well known.

  2. Dr. Jay: I'd never heard this story before but it was indeed a saucy (and clever - and I like clever) reply from Johnny. Agree with you that it is probably not an urban myth.

  5. The Bobby McFerrin video gave me goosebumps! Beautiful.

Those commercials had me laughing out loud, and so did the Johnny Carson clip.

You never fail to entertain me.

  8. Carson's Copper Clapper bit reminded me of Steven Wright explaining why he is so deadpan: "I'm working hard to remember my bits," Wright said. How not to laugh when delivering such material? Just try not to screw it up.

  10. Suzanne: So glad you liked it. I simply love Bobby McFerrin. I fell for him hook, line and sinker the first time I ever heard him 'sing', hum and chest tap Vivaldi's concerto for two mandolins. I'll have to find a video of that and post it. It would be criminal not to share that one with you too.

Erin: You are going to kill me when you find out. I just came back from Denver and I didn't contact you while there. Please forgive. Long story and I'll be in touch. Thank you for the lovely award.

Jennifer: And YOU, never fail to make my day.

B: You are very welcome. Making you laugh makes me happy.

Rocki: Why thank you! And I'm so glad you came over. I absolutely LOVE Beat Black. She feeds a dark side of me. I appreciate you taking the time to comment and I hope you'll come again.

Ron: Only a master recognizes what it takes. Loved Wright's line. I'll have to remember that one.

Mangosteenskin: What a great mouthful of a blog name that is. Thank you ever so much. Now you've got me ducking my head in bashfulness. Will try to keep posting more of this. They seem to be appreciated. Thanks again.
